1. Partial preview first, so you know what you're buying
Before you pay, CVLift shows you a partial, watermarked preview of your upgraded CV (the top of page 1 is readable, the rest is blurred). On Professional and Executive upgrades you can also switch between the designs included with your upgrade at no cost. You only pay once you're happy with what you see, and on those upgrades you can still change the design for free after paying.
2. Cancelling before you pay
There's nothing to cancel before payment. If you decide not to go ahead, simply don't pay; you won't be charged. If you leave the payment page or cancel there, no money is taken. Your files are deleted 7 days after you created your order.
3. When we will refund you
Because the product is a digital file delivered immediately after you've previewed it, we don't offer refunds for a change of mind. We will fix the problem or give you a full refund if:
- you paid but your download doesn't work, or the PDF is damaged or won't open;
- you were charged more than once for the same order;
- a technical failure on our side means you didn't receive what you paid for; or
- the CV you received is materially different in style or quality from the partial preview you saw before paying.
Wording you'd simply like improved is usually something we can help with, so please tell us. Where a problem can be fixed quickly, for example by sending you a working file, we may offer that first, and you can still choose a refund if the fix doesn't work.
4. How to ask for a refund
- Go to our help page (or use "Need help with this order?" on your order page, which fills in your order reference).
- Choose Refund request, tell us what went wrong and include your payment receipt reference if you have it.
- Send your request within 7 days of your order. We'll reply to you by email.
5. How refunds are paid
Approved refunds are made to the card or account you paid with, through the payment partner that processed your payment. Once we've issued it, the time it takes to reflect depends on your bank or card issuer.
6. Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 2002 where they apply. See also our terms of service.
